Good to know Camping & cabins

Here we have gathered information that is useful to know before, during and after your stay.

Booking & check-in

• Book your campsite or Cabin online, by phone 0346-375 00 or email gekasbyn@gekas.se.
• The easiest check-in before arrival, you do yourself directly on your mobile via the AeroGuest app. Your booked Cabin is available from 4 p.m. and the campsite is available from 3 p.m. Follow the instructions in your welcome email that will arrive a few days before your arrival date. Find out more about digital check-in.
• If you prefer to check in at a staffed reception, make sure you have your reservation number handy on arrival. See information on reception and its opening hours.
• Subject to availability, you can extend your stay for additional nights and keep your accommodation. Extensions must be made by 11 am on the day of departure.

Group bookings

If you are a larger group and want to book several accommodations, it is easily done via our online booking. Here you can book up to four Cabins or campsites on the same booking. Search for the desired date and select accommodation, press book to add to the shopping cart. Then select another accommodation and press book until the number of accommodations matches the desired number. When booking multiple Cabins or campsites, parties will be allocated together where possible. Please leave any information or requests that may be useful for us to know. Information is provided in the last step of online booking.

Arrival/check-in

Our reception for check-in at Gekåsbyn Camping & Stugby is located at Falkenbergsvägen 21. See current opening hours to know what applies during your particular stay.

Late arrival?
If you are not able to check in during our opening hours, the reservation must be prepaid. Contact us and we will help you.

Departure/check-out

To avoid queues when returning home, there are red mailboxes for express checkout in several places at Gekåsbyn. Here you leave your key card or toll card and can then move on to new destinations. Check-out for Cabin is no later than 11 am and campsite no later than 10 am. 15.

Bathroom

At Musasjön in Ullared there is a bathing area*, toilets and a walking trail. If you want to walk there, you can take the walking path through the forest over the mountain. * Toilets are kept open during the summer months.

Child

Most families with children choose to stay in a Cabin as it is convenient to be close to the car and other activities in Gekåsbyn. A cot or high chair can be pre-booked for SEK 80 per stay per part. If you have children who have just started sleeping without a diaper, you can let us know when booking and we can provide the Cabin with mattress protectors.

Payment

When you book accommodation with us, the stay needs to be prepaid. When booking online, you have the option to pay directly by Swish or card. If you book by phone, we will send you a payment link where you can easily make the payment with your card. You can also pay for your accommodation directly on your mobile when you check in via the AeroGuest app. Our receptions are cashless for both environmental and security reasons.

The camping card

Gekåsbyn is affiliated with the industry organization SCR Swedish Camping. Therefore, you can use SCR’s camping card “Camping Key Europe” when you stay overnight at Gekåsbyn’s campsite or in the cottage village. Camping Key Europe is a card that is valid for you and your family at affiliated campsites throughout Europe. With the card you get accident insurance and lots of different discounts and offers. Breakfast packages and evening buffet

In addition to takeaway breakfast packages, the Gekåsbyns Bistro offers a varied range of tasty bistro dishes, pizza, salad and evening buffet*. Choose whether you want to eat in the Bistro or take it to your Cabin or campsite. Pre-order breakfast packages and evening buffet* at the time of booking or call (+46) 346 375 00. * Evening buffet is served during special periods and weekends.

Campsite

Your camping vehicle must be parked according to the rules of the fire authority. The vehicle must be reversed in front of the site sign with a distance of 4 meters between the camping units. Only one towing vehicle per rented camping pitch is allowed, other cars are referred to the guest parking lot. The campsites have 10 amp electrical sockets and EU plugs. We do not guarantee TV signal via the antenna sockets. Access to all facilities in the service building is included in your camping fee. Our campsites vary in size, so please specify both length and vehicle type at the time of booking. Please note that awnings are not allowed on gravel pitches in the 300 area or on motorhome pitches with electricity. Only awnings are allowed there.

Bicycles

For those who want to go for a bike ride, bikes are available for rent at the Activity Reception in the middle of Gekåsbyn.

Grilling

All grilling must be done with care and at a safe distance from anything combustible. Feel free to use our prepared barbecue areas or on our displayed barbecue plates.

Pets

• Pets are allowed in the Dog Houses, Compact Cabins and Apartments.
• Pets must not be left alone in any pet-allowed accommodation.
• Dogs must be kept on a leash throughout the Gekåsbyn area.
• At the bridge to Gekåsbyn there is a dog park where animals can run freely.

Free WiFi

With us you can surf freely. Connect to Destination Ullared, no login information is needed and it is completely free. There is wi-fi throughout the area, but we can only guarantee access in Radstugorna and Skogslänga.

Shopping trolleys

There are shopping cart parking lots around the department store, at Gekåsbyn and outside the Hotel and Motel. We appreciate if you return your shopping cart in the designated place. It is not allowed to bring shopping carts into any accommodation and this is for safety reasons so that the accommodation can be evacuated quickly in case of fire. The trolleys also have rather sharp edges that damage walls and furnishings.

Forgotten things

Please make sure you do not leave anything behind after your stay with us. We are not responsible for forgotten items, but we will try to help you get them back to the right owner. Please contact us as soon as possible after departure if you have left anything behind.

Environmental housing

At the holiday village and camping area we have environmental houses with different sorting bins. The bins available are combustible, food waste, paper/cardboard, metal, newspapers, uncolored glass, colored glass, batteries and metal waste. For more information about the recycling centers, please contact the reception.

Nattro

We want everyone to wake up rested for a new shopping day and sleep well at night. Therefore, it should be calm and quiet at Gekåsbyn after 11 pm in the evening. If you are disturbed, you can call our security guards on 010-470 51 06.

Parking

• One parking space is included per Cabin with 2-6 beds and two parking spaces are included in Cabin with 8 beds.
• Extra cars are directed to the guest parking lot at the entrance to Gekåsbyn (see area map number 61 and 62).
• Charging points for electric cars are available in the guest parking lot, at Bad & Sauna and at Storstugan.

Smoke-free

Please note that smoking is prohibited in all buildings, rooms and Cabins. Violation will be charged with the cleanup cost. Smoking is also banned in playgrounds, at hot tubs and at the entrances to our common areas.

Shopping bus

The parking lot at the department store is periodically very busy and to make it easier for all resident guests, our own shopping bus runs during the high season. Convenient and environmentally friendly.

Cleaning

Gekåsbyn is certified with the Green Key ecolabel. We are constantly working to reduce environmental impact and improve social responsibility. This means, among other things, that we work to reduce our consumption of chemicals. We use environmental friendly cleaning products that are gentle on you and the environment. Be careful with the cleaning so that the next guest has as pleasant an experience as you. Cleaning instructions and all necessary equipment are provided in the Cabin. Toilet paper, kitchen cloth, dish brush and washing-up liquid are provided in all accommodation. Remember to bring your own dish towel and hand soap. If the cleaning is not up to standard, a fee will be charged.

Add final city

Cleaning of the accommodation can be added for a fee, then you only need to wash the dishes, put the dishes back in the cabinets and throw away the garbage and we will take care of the rest! Security and safety

There are many guests staying with us and moving around in our area. Therefore, remember to drive carefully and keep a low speed throughout Ullared. Should you need urgent help, call SOS on 112. If it is not an emergency, Gekås staff are on site around the clock and can be reached via Gekåsbyn’s switchboard on 0346-375 00. At night, Securitas night watch is available to help you. Defibrillators are located in several places in Ullared and if you want to know where they are located, see the map you receive on arrival or read under visitor information.

Bed linen

Book bed linen and towel directly at the time of booking or let the reception know. Rental of bed linen is 80 SEK/set, including a shower towel.
