About Gekås Ullared

Scandinavia’s largest department store, Gekås Ullared, is located 100 km from Gothenburg and 200 km from Malmö. The 44,500 m² department store sells “everything for the home that fits in a car”. The largest product group is women’s, children’s and men’s clothing. In addition, we sell bags, home textiles, home furnishings, household goods, lighting, cleaning, body care, cosmetics, toys, baby accessories, home electronics, media, horse and pet accessories, tools, leisure items and food.

Gekås Ullared has no debts and all investments made are financed by the profits made by the company. For several years, the company has been awarded the AAA rating by Dun & Bradstreet Soliditet AB. A good rating for us and a security for you as a supplier. Gekås Ullared is not listed on the stock exchange, nor are there any plans for an IPO.

Purchasing department

Our purchasing department here at Gekås Ullared handles the majority of all purchases from the office in Ullared.

The company employs nearly 25 full-time buyers and 15 purchasing assistants, who work in different teams. Each team consists of one or more buyers, who are responsible for specific product groups, and assistants who work with the buyers within the team.

Only a small part of our range consists of wholesale purchases. Most of our range is purchased through regular purchasing channels. We make our purchases through agents and importers, as well as through direct contact with suppliers.
