Shopping carts are available in the cart garages located around our parking areas outside the store, as there are no carts inside the department store.

Please make sure to have a token or a 10 SEK coin ready when collecting your cart. A shopping cart token is available from Customer Service or the exit guard.

All our shopping carts are marked with a symbol and a number on the handle.
Remember your cart number to avoid taking the wrong one in the crowd – or simply take a photo with your phone.

We also have a limited number of shopping carts with baby seats available to borrow. Please contact our security staff or Customer Service upon arrival, and they’ll assist you. If all baby seat carts are currently in use, you can sign up for a waiting list and will be contacted once one becomes available.

Unfortunately, we’re unable to answer specific questions about our product range.
We have an enormous number of items in the store, and our selection changes constantly. This makes it difficult for us to provide up-to-date information about which products are currently available or which ones may arrive in the future.

Unfortunately, we do not have an online shop and we are not able to send goods against payment. The only way to shop at the best price is to shop in the store, with the exception of our outdoor furniture which can be purchased online with home delivery.

Yes, we have a limited number of wheelchairs available to borrow.
To borrow a wheelchair, please contact our security staff or Customer Service upon arrival, and they will assist you.
If all wheelchairs are currently in use, you can sign up for a waiting list and will be contacted as soon as one becomes available.
We also have mobility scooters and special carts designed to attach to wheelchairs available for day use.

Unfortunately, we are not able to make announcements for birthdays or other special occasions. Announcements over the loudspeakers are for our own communication, and we want to keep the amount of announcements down to get customers’ attention when we have something important to say.

We have the most customers in the summer, during weeks 28 to 33, and in the fall, during weeks 38 to 50. We also tend to have an extra influx of customers on peak days, for example around weekends such as Ascension Day.

If you wish to visit us during the high season, we recommend that you plan your visit on a weekday, Monday-Thursday. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are usually busy during the high season, we then have extended opening hours.

We have a low season in the department store between week 1 and week 10, so if you go to us then you will not be crowded.

You can find prices for some of our products on our website under Inspiration. (in Swedish) However, we cannot provide prices for all of the more than 100,000 different products in the store due to competitive reasons and because our range is constantly updated and changing.

Use our webcams to see if there is a queue to enter the store. We are constantly working to improve the customer experience and we only have a queue in the store about 15 days a year.

Gekås shopping bus is a free bus that runs between the department store and Gekåsbyn. With the Shopping Bus, you can easily get back and forth between the shopping and your accommodation at the campsite or in the Cabins and you do not have to think about parking. You have the option of having your goods sent home after you have shopped in the department store. Contact Varubyte outside the checkout line after payment, and we will help you send your goods home with Postnord Logistics. You pay the freight against cash on delivery.

We have size and weight restrictions on what items can be shipped home, for bulky items contact Customer Service for information before purchase.

We accept Swedish cash at our checkouts and currently banknotes in NOK and EURO (no foreign coins). From September 1, 2025, we will only accept Swedish cash.

To minimize our checkout queues and facilitate cash handling, we take a maximum of 25 Swedish coins per purchase in our cash registers.

We accept payment by Mastercard, VISA, American Express and Swish.

If you need cash, you will find an ATM in connection with ICA Supermarket Ullared.

We have a very large number of customers, many of whom shop in big volumes. This makes self-scanning quite complicated and difficult to manage in a good way for both us and our customers. If you want to keep track of the prices of the items you’re shopping, there are price-check terminals available in several places around the store.

In the middle of the Halland forest you will find Sweden’s largest department store, Gekås Ullared. It is easy to get to the department store by both car and bus.

If you have bought a defective item, you can return it to the store for repair within 2 months of discovering the defect. Outdoor furniture purchased with home delivery cannot be returned to the store.

If you want to make a complaint online or by phone to customer service, we need your receipt number and contact details as well as an approximate weight of your shipment.

We always have 30 days open purchase on our goods in unbroken packaging, or saleable condition, and upon presentation of a receipt.

In exceptional cases, when you return goods for a refund or complaint, it may take up to two weeks for the money to appear in your account. Our Customer Service team works as quickly as they can and usually the money is in your account much faster than that.

If you have received an error on your receipt, please contact our customer service via our contact form in the first instance. You can also call us on +46 346 375 00.

If you live far from Ullared, you can return the item within the return period and receive a refund. For open purchase returns, you are responsible for the shipping cost, and you can only receive a refund—not exchange the item for a new one.

In the event of a complaint, we must have your receipt. If you paid by card, you can use a bank statement to find the date of purchase and the exact total of the receipt. If you know the date and exact total of your purchase, we can hopefully find your receipt and make the claim.

Unfortunately, we do not have the possibility to exchange an item for another size or item, remotely. However, we can offer open purchase and money back, if you send the item according to the instructions in the question above.

There is free parking in all parking lots and P-houses, except for charging points for electric cars, read more about parking here.

The store’s parking area offers a total of 149 charging stations for electric cars. The charging outlets are Type 2 for outdoor use (single-phase or three-phase 7.4 kW – 22 kW). Please remember to bring your own charging cable, and note that we only provide charging for Type 1 or Type 2.
